Extra Curricular Activities

Extra Curricular Activities / Out Of School Hours

At Park Lane , we endeavour to provide our pupils with a fulfilling and enjoyable all round, educational experience.

Via our extensive Out Of School Hours (OOSH) programme pupils can access a whole host of new or additional learning experiences, ranging from Arts & Crafts and Drama, through to extra sporting opportunities and specialist intervention clubs, aimed at supporting and extending pupils’ studies.

We strive to provide opportunities for all our pupils and with this in mind, there is extra provision for Gifted and Talented pupils, as well as there being several Nurture groups for some of our more vulnerable students.

We also place great value, on the role which  educational visits can have on a child's whole school experience. Over the past few years, the Park Lane pupils have been able to access a whole host of opportunities, including memorable visits to Old Trafford, a watersports experience in the South of France and a unique opportunity for a trip to the Concentration Camps at Auschwitz.  Last year we went on the following trips:

The Roman Experience in Chester

Coaching in primary schools

World War 2 in Berlin

Xscape at Castleford

Robotics at Marshalls Engineering

Turbo chargers at Cummins Engineering

Mixenden Outdoor Activity Centre

Harry Potter at Warner Bros Studios in London

Royal Society of Public Health in London

Electric bowl and Vue cinema

ARTiculate at Crossley Heath School

Victoria Theatre Trips

As well as providing the pupils with a broader range of education , we firmly believe that these opportunities create, " memories for life".
