Year 7’s Dreaming Big
Our Year 7’s have big dreams and huge ambitions following a workshop that they participated in during their first week of school. The students had to firstly identify their current likes and dislikes; what their favourite and least favourite subjects were, along with what they are good at and what areas they need to improve in.
The students drew and wrote about what they would like to achieve when they are older. The year 7’s realised that they have the potential to achieve anything they want with a lot of hard work and effort. They wrote some inspirational growth mind-set quotes to help them remain focused. Here are some examples of the fantastic work they did:
“A bad attitude is like a flat tyre. You can’t go anywhere until you change it.” Daniel.
“Make your positive attitude like the sun – never start a day without it.” Jake M.
“Believe to Achieve” – Amber M.
“When the going gets tough – I’m going to keep trying.” Macauley.
“Keep going, believe in yourself. It’s never too late to start trying.” Kennedy G.
“If you don’t succeed the first time – try again.” Hafsah.
“Life is like a story. God is the writer, the Universe is the book. Doubt and pain are the rubbers and mistakes. We are the sentences. But you are the word that changes the whole story.” Ojasvi.
“You might not be able to reach the real stars, but you can reach your own.” Ebony.
